If LSU continues to tank, should they fire O? If so, then they would have fired two coaches, consecutively, who won National Championships. I wonder if that’s ever happened before.

Agreed. With all the crap going on with the possibility of sanctions. He can be used as a scape-goat to ease some of the penalty. (or so they think). It is probably just a matter of timing. When the NCAA starts putting heat on them, they release him to make it look like they "did the right thing". Then the question becomes, who do you hire? If they are in any kind of serious trouble, it probably won't be a top notch coach.

Because we know Ed is reliant on his coordinators this was basically like a 1st year HC in his 1st game. That doesn’t excuse the lack of effort and toughness though. That’s my biggest concern. I can understand the 2 coordinators struggling to get plays in and make adjustments.

If you're losing to UCLA, even thought it was a game on the road and I'll go as far as saying "even though it was against a team that may win the PAC," what's that saying? That's where I'm pulling a weed and testing to see if that fence is electric.

This is also known as losing to a team like Arkansas.

I know its hot in Baton Rogue this time of year but the heat is really intensifying with Coach O. Could be long year on the Bayou. Change may not come during the season but it sure will at the end if things don't improve soon. Joe Burrow and his then offensive coordinator made Coach O look like a very good coach. Personally, I hope they keep him.
