🏈 LSU DB “I really see us dominating this offense. I really see us dominating this team,”

Well, what is Coach O supposed to say when asked that question?

Maybe he needs to turn on the TV and watch coach Saban speak about his upcoming opponent? If chief corndog wants to yaw-yaw it up with the media with his, hell yeah we can, fine, but it's always a short walk with this stuff before his players emulate their coach and take it too far. Talk doesn't get either team through 4 quarters of physical football, but I'm much more confident now that LSU doesn't start this game in a different gear than the Tide.

yeah, I don't recall anyone having the balls to ask CNS if his team can "hang" with an opponent. I wouldn't want to be in the room if someone ever does.

This game worries me the most, more because LSU really has nothing to lose. If they get killed, who cares... Everyone expects it. There is no need to play "inside" the box for them. I expect them to take many chances in this game to try and get a lead or stay with us.

On top of that, I would expect that for LF this will be the one game he will give everything he has after he performance last year. I think he has something to prove, and that will be dangerous.

Now, I think we will be Fine and the coaches are aware of all of this and the reality is, we just need to play OUR game and focus on each play doing our best. As long as we don't make mistakes, we win this game... what worries me is those mistakes in the secondary... I think LSU is going to put the ball up deep and test us early and often...

I said if yaw-yaw wants to yuk it up, fine. My comment primary has to do with the title of this thread. That would be the player's comment on "dominating" and why their yapping.

well shit, we might as well not even show up. just chalk this one up to "they're gonna win 'cause they want it more, so we concede this one" and let's move on to the next one.

Alabama has a streak of five.

But...

You do know that they have nine wins to Bama's 8 since 2000, right?

Maybe a "recentish" rivalry?

Well, for them at least it is a rivalry! Someone arrived down in Red Stick around 2000 that really changed it. Those coonasses won't say it, but all of the vitriol they spew our direction comes from their butthurt over Saban leaving them. Those goofy dicks still believe he jumped straight from that shithole straight to T'town!!!

Do you really expect a team that has lived by the running game all year and been at best mediocre at throwing the ball to suddenly become pass happy with the long ball... I expect them to do what they have done.

Yes I do... because of the bye week it gives them chance to change their typical MO. I think they come out passing and I would expect more deep passes than shorter passes... reason being I don't think they feel comfortable "driving" the ball down the field on short passes, so it may be better to get chuck yardage on toss up balls... They don't have anything to lose in trying to attack us by air.... and they already know that attacking on the ground isn't going to be easy from last years experience.

Granted if Les was still in charge, I'd say you were/are correct in your thinking... but with the Big O in charge and a bye week, I'd expect a shift to some deeper passes... just my opinion.

They've been throwing short and intermediate passes. If he wants to go long he will have to hold the ball that much longer against a team not known to let you study the field. Last year's model at QB was physically hurt in this game because of the long ball.
