šŸˆ LSU AD: 'The only hope for change is for the (SEC) presidents to realize it's not an equitable sched

LSU athletics director Joe Alleva told The Advocate on Wednesday he believes SEC athletic directors won't change their votes on football scheduling.

The current format calls for six divisional opponents, one permanent opponent from the other division and a rotating opponent.

Alleva and LSU coach Les Miles want six permanent and two rotating opponents.

"The ADs will not change their votes," Alleva told The Advocate. "The only hope for change is for the (SEC) presidents to realize it's not an equitable schedule. They have to have the foresight and wisdom to change it."

According to the report, Alleva doesn't want a nine-game SEC schedule.

"That means seven more losses for certain teams," he said.

i'm not even gonna read the rest of the article. reasons being:

1. this is coming from someone in the lsu program and i honestly do not care what anyone from there has to say.

and

2. this part.....

"That means seven more losses for certain teams," he said.

that's just plain idiotic. if that's how you look at adding more games from the same conference in which you reside, then you've already lost. and no matter how many games you add or take away, there are the same number of chances for losses for every team in that conference. no win is guaranteed, no loss is guaranteed.

saying you don't want to play another team from your conference is acting like a scared little b!tch. i guess all they wanna do is play those D2 teams so they can chalk up 3 guaranteed wins every season and have less to worry about. although, those wins aren't guaranteed (i.e., la. monroe in 2008).

i'd love it if we went to a 9- or 10-game conference schedule and then played only 2 out-of-conference games; with one of those 2 being a guaranteed top-tier D1 team.

if you wanna be the best you gotta beat the best. i guess lsu wants to try and slide in with that #4 ranking every year and try to boast about that.
