I don't think it's satire. I used the term "trolling the LSU fan base" in the post for a reason.

As to this article, he also wrote another piece he titled "Actually, on second thought..." which deals with the five reasons they should remain in the SEC. One is title why they should leave, the other with that title. Which one do you think grabs the most attention?

A week or so ago he wrote an article about how LSU wasn't getting any respect because they received an invitation to the Chick-Fil-A bowl instead of one considered more prestigious. What did that do? Inflamed the fan base.

I'll give him credit—he deserves it. He has his pulse on the vocal members of the fan base when it comes to conspiracy theories about bias against LSU from the SEC offices. He put out an article touching on those feelings and it hit home.

Fuel to a fire...

At least the majority of fans don't agree - tigerdroppings has a huge thread on the subject.

I think its funny that they complain about having to play Florida and the complain about our scheduling of cupcakes, as Tim mentions above, I don't remember them offering us relief during the BYE week scheduling those few years.

I like the articles - gave them both perspectives, which sometimes fans seem to forget, the grass sometimes looks greener on the other side only to find out its the same damn grass minus some things.

I liked those articles.

I don't see LSU leaving the SEC for any conference, money is the driver and no conference makes as much as the SEC which is why there are a long list of teams that given the chance would make a break for the SEC
