šŸˆ Look’s like Pollack is gone

To be such a sports person that i am......I rarely watched espn except for the actual games....when it got political...i changed rarely to never ever ( still on occasion for some reason)

Some like that stuff. I just dont find it entertaining...including Gameday....
I can't stand Gameday (or the 3-900 hours leading up to a championship game. where all of the "experts" prove how little they actually know!).
I do like Rece Davis, I think Herbie is a college football fan & supporter (don't always agree with him) - but the rest is overkill & junk!

A deeper, better take on it than mine…

You’ll have the read the whole Twitter thread:

It's pretty obvious they searched for salaries that would move the needle for them, held the employee up to determine how much (if any) fallout there would be if cut loose, and if they had another, cheaper stuffed shirt to stand in. I'm surprised they didn't use this as an opportunity to cut loose, or further marginalize, Sage Steele. She must've lawyered up.

I’m sure there were other factors involved with Ms. Steele.

Wow! The ā€œflagship stationā€ keeps sinking to new lows. Too much entertainment IMO and not enough reporting the news like the good ole days of ESPN.
I don’t know if you were around when ESPN started, but there was a lot of Australian rules rugby. Mainstream sports were few and far between. SportsCenter was what everybody like because it was a whole news broadcast with only sports.

And, according to most sources on the world wide web, his ESPN salary is only $54k. Small price to pay to keep the loveable old fella around.
For roughly 20 days worth of work? "They say" he's making a little over 1100 per day, but he's hardly working 54 days of the year.
