It's my guess, and it's only a guess, that Dont'a considers himself a SR so he isn't leaving early in his mind. He picked up an extra class last fall and graduated in Dec.
I know CNS likes to help these kids and he would prefer them stay if they are not projected as 1st rounders. I haven't checked but where does Dont'a sit?

Most have him as the second beast ILB available. While I don't follow the draft as closely as a lot do, I'm guessing that leads to a second round pick.
He wasnt there, only Dre, Trent, & Coach. Was a little surprising. Both Dre & Trent got a lil emotional and said how much they loved the school (you could tell it was genuine), hell Dre even thanked the lunch ladies. Both guys presented themselves very well. No word on Dont'a yet, I was really surprised not to see him up there even if he was going to announce he was returning (he did that last year alongside Julio & Ingram). Maybe he just hasn't made his decision yet?
Or and this is not as cool of a thing to think about Coach Saban emphasized that both Trent & Dre have everyone's FULL support in entering the draft, maybe Dont'a decided to go against Coach's suggestion? I would still assume he would support him, guess we'll just have to wait and see. Deadline is Sunday.
Eddie Lacey, Dee Hart, and TJ Yeldon will be household names this time next year. With our o-line its gonna get nasty for opposing defenses next year. We are in VERY good hands
