🏈 Looking ahead to Arkansas

I have NO FREAKIN' CLUE what I was looking at/thinking.
That had a lot to do with it, I'm sure. Worked 10-7 Monday night and then it was to the bar for inventory, orders, etc...by the time I posted that I'm guessing been working 15 hours.
Wasn't be that you were having one of those drink Irish Trashcan you was talking about. Or how many of those Bull sperm Oh! I mean red Bull you had like Orgeron like to drink?:D

I said it wasn't bad. I didn't say it was something I'd order or drink.

BUT, in the spirit of honesty, I probably had a couple / three Yuengling's at that point.

I think you would have to be drunk before drinking one anyway! This is the beer that was always in my house when I was growing up Schlitz. Here was the famous line on the can too, Jerry Lee Lewis singing it too.

Give Shlitz credit for one thing.... that was one beer can you weren't going to crush on your forehead.... guess they had to make the can strong enough to stand up to what was inside it. :what:

Practice notes, October 5
Ben Jones, Tidesports.com

Pretty calm week of practice overall capped by another very standard day today. The weather has finally been cooling down here a bit but it wasn't cool this afternoon - 89 when we got there for the start of practice. Alabama was in full pads.
  • Damien Harris and ArDarius Stewart both practiced as expected.

  • Trevon Diggs was there today.

  • I did not see Lester Cotton rotate in with the 1st team OL today but might have missed it. Based on everything else we've seen, I'd expect him to play on Saturday.

  • Could be wrong about this, but I don't think we saw Alabama work on its dime package at all this week. We saw them in nickel plenty, but I can't recall seeing them in dime during any of the three open periods.

  • Brandon Greene flattened some poor walk-on during a tight end blocking drill. The guy never stood a chance.

  • The more you see Raekwon Davis, the more you understand how much development is ahead for him. It's so easy to get caught up in his size and imagine what he can do, but he really has a lot of learning to do. Not saying you shouldn't be excited about what he can become, but he's definitely not there right now.

Gonna take some of the pictures from your days on the gridiron?

Taking the scrapbook with me. I get better the longer I am out of school, the legend grows. LOL if you remember Alan Page that played for the Vi,ings, that is the type of face mask I had and wore 66 in honor of Packer Legend Ray Nitziski.

^^ Adding a bit to that.

I know you've seen the stat about how long it's been since a Saban led team has lost to an unranked opponent. On those lines, out of those six losses.

All six teams Bama lost to were ranked 19 (Coaches Poll) or higher at the end of the season. The '14 Ole Miss loss was the lowest ranked team Bama lost to as they finished the year ranked 17th in the AP, 19th in the Coaches. Four of those teams finished ranked 6th or higher at the end of that season.

All six teams Bama lost to were ranked 15th or higher at game time. A&M with the lowest, ranked 15th by the AP.

Two of the six were post-season losses.

Opponents records: (67-14-0)--0.827

I hear ya. I wore the Dan Marino type facemask back in my day, even though I played TE/DE.... had hands of grease and deceptive speed (slower than I actually looked).....good thing we ran the wishbone. :D
