LOOK: Alabama fan worried about ālanguage barrierā for Hawaiian Tua Tagovailoa after seeing QB point to WR
Alabamaās backup QB Tua Tagovailoa is a true freshman adjusting to college life, but one fan has a unique concern about Tagovailoaās transition.
A poster with the handle Chattown Tider on Bama OnLineās message board inquired about a perceived language barrier in asking about Tagovailoaās ātransition to the statesā and his communication. The poster also noted that the young QB did āpoint to receivers a couple of times,ā and that may tip off defenses if it continues.
Here is the whole post that was shared on Twitter:
Tagovailoa was a 5-star recruit from Honolulu, Hawaii which is indeed a part of the United States. Itās worth noting Hawaii does have two official languages (Hawaiian and English), but there is likely no language barrier involved in Tagovailoaās transition.
Tagovailoa saw his first game action against Fresno State, and he demonstrated an ability to move the ball with the offense. He completed 6 of 9 passes for 64 yards and a TD.
Paul Harvey lives in Atlanta, GA and covers SEC football.
