🏈 LOL @ Urban/OSU -- Is he having chest pains while Mayfield is planting the OU flag?

I agree, but I think this stemmed from the OSU band going to midfield last year after the game and playing their fight song after the game.
I see that narrative as nothing more than people excusing Mayfield's behavior. The band, along with the players and students, sing the school song after every game--win or loss.

He may have taken offense and if he did it's because he knows less about Ohio State traditions than I ... and I don't know jack about OSU.

Of course Herbie did. He's for Ohio State.
It's far, far more than "he's for Ohio State." That almost like saying "Snake" was just for Bama.

Terrell Owens spiking the ball on the Dallas star.
Auburn dancing on the mid-field "Eye of the Tiger" when Tubs was coaching and they were visiting LSU.

Both cases are examples of disrespect--it's certainly unsportsmanlike. Mayfield is no different.

Disrespect is disrespect no matter how old you are! I see no one saying anything about Manning. I know it wasn't at BDS but LF was at the time a home game. By the way, didn't the O.St QB last year do the same thing as manning did?

The team celebrating with the band and singing the fight song is a weekly tradition at OSU. That's my earlier point, Rickey. Granted, they aren't celebrating but after the loss Saturday the team was with the band, and the students, singing the same fight song. (It's a Notre Dame standard as well as I recall.)

I can see how some OU fans--and Mayfield--may have taken umbrage last year. It's uninformed.

I was at that game in '95 with Manning. I was also at the 2007 game and looking back I wish the defense wouldn't have allowed UT and Lincoln that last field goal in the second quarter. 41-17 still works...but 41-14 would have been sweeter.

(Now that I think about it...since that 2007 game I'm thinking the Tide has hit the 40 or 40+ mark five or six times against UT.)

I can't say hate, but I still...seethe with anger when I see that big forehead, chicken parm sammich eating sumbitch. I won't ever forget what Manning did. Buck fans will now have that same feel of hate in their hearts re: Mayfield. Actually, that's what build the fans' fever to higher grade in college football. If the fans don't like what Mayfield did, then look at your own team first.

It took a while for us, but now we're at the point where the UThug game is only a curent rival because of Coach Bryant and Gen. Neyland, Mt. Cody, and Phatlock...Lore, not teams. UThug sux, and Bama is going to beat dat UTurd ass like a drum this fall.

That I didn't know about the Ohio St band at the end of the game. The only thing I do know is the dotting the i at the start of the game. It kind of like the Army and Navy do at the end of that game? Remember regular TV here. As soon as, the game is over it almost turn to the regular schedule programming.
