I'm not on Twitter it pisses me off and makes me sick to my stomach that anyone would harass a member of this family.

I think you may have misunderstood this.

I did see a tweet, responded to by Drew D., where the initial said, "the family wasn't happy." Unless someone responded to her, here, she wasn't attacked.

Ok, so attacks came from fans at a game I guess. Either way it pisses me off. I wasn't referring to her directly implying anyone in the family even CNO.

Several of the "Bama" radio/podcast/media guys were responding to different people and various comments. I saw several of these directed at them that said "Oats needed to be let go, his family hates it here, Avery shoulda been given another year, scrap the roster and start over, cut loose all of Avery's guys", etc. Guys like Drew and Fowler, etc all defended Oats and called these comments asinine and unsubstantiated rumors. Evidently Oats' daughter was told about "the family hates it here" so she responded. Our fan base can be totally ignorant at times.

Ignorant is one thing..... vicious is another....
Never understood what drives "fans" to be like that.... maybe they haven't been through enough things in life to understand the difference between " real life " and "sports life". Such a hugh difference !!!!!!!

Bama lost to Ole Ms a few years ago... boy, i was really down.... my mom died unexpectedly the next day.....

Good Lord, SOME folks!!!! CNO needs time to recruit and bring in the type of players he wants. This guy deserves a chance to make things better with our basketball team and 1 year is not a chance. I am sorry that some of our fans act this way and a grown mans daughter has to Tweet a message that they love Tuscaloosa and want to be at Alabama. Please accept our sincere apology for some folks who make us all look bad young lady.

I go on twitter and you are right. For all the good tweets about anything there is always some knucklehead that responds with some negative comment. I've even seen negative comments about our President. What does a tweet mean? It's just a little bird chirp that has no real meaning to anyone except the little bird.
