"Today, Will Reichard reached career point number 481 (jumping out of a tie with former Auburn kicker Daniel Carlson, who was amazing). 50 points from scoring more career points than any player in the history of college football."
Rick Karle
He got 5 more points after two more TDS and a FG. So it's only 45 points to break the NCAA Scoring record.

Congrats to him. I’m glad it was an Alabama guy but I guarantee that fans of other teams will point out that he did it using five years where most record holders only get four years.

A game or two (bowl game, playoff appearance) is a lot different than a whole season (12+ games).
Not when you look at it historically. Add an extra game (went from 11->12) or two (10->12, now), conference championship games, 2 playoff games for for four years, and that's 16 ( or 20) extra games vs. 10 game seasons (1.6 or 2 seasons), but they don't bring that up when older records are broken.

In other words, piss on them. Every record should have an asterisk by it if you want to get technical.
