Miles, whose 91-year-old mom - Martha Miles - passed away the night before the Tigers hosted Ole Miss on Oct. 25, can be seen in ABC 33/40's video shouting to get the attention of Nick Saban. The two coaches then greeted each other with a handshake and Miles proceeded to thank the Crimson Tide coach for sending his condolences. Saban responded by telling Miles how the news of the death came while he was with his own mother in Knoxville before Alabama's game against Tennessee.
"Well, you know it hit me because I was with my mother at Tennessee, and they came in and told me so...God bless ya' man," Saban told Miles before patting him on the arm.

Miles, after expressing his gratitude for Saban's comment, then told his LSU predecessor about his new heavenly supporter.
"She's sitting up there watching," Miles said."We got another rooter upstairs, I just want you to know."
