Seems to me going to Kansas is a better opportunity with Long trying to sell the facility upgrade (something he already has experience doing).

At Kansas, Miles has nowhere to go but up. Having to follow Snyder is in the same theoretical framework as following Bryant or Schembechler (neither of whom is Snyder close to). The point is that that's a tall order to follow.

Don't rail the guy. He did a solid for a program that gave him some clout. He won a Natty, made a ton of money, and basically gave him a chance to run a top program and have a future. Maybe he did them a favor to help them up with some of the budgetary issues they were having. Maybe he wanted a smaller amount so he could go coach elsewhere and them not be burdened with the buyout like Florida did with McElwain. I like ole Les, and I think he is a good guy. Not everything is about the almighty dollar.

Seems obvious that he would have to reduce any payout by whatever he made at another school. Take a little extra right now and not have to deal with that later. Expect him on the sidelines somewhere next year.

It was already subject to an offset based on future salary. Curious to see if he actually lands a new gig and how the offset would have worked out to his favor.

$133k/month through 2023 is significant money. At 65, that's retirement money.
