Miles is an excellent catch for a middle to upper middle class team. I keep telling my Georgia Tech buddies that have pull that they should snag him. Les will get them to Chan Gailey, Calvin Johnson, Phillip Wheeler, Tashard Choice days.
It will if it is executed correctly and put with something else the B12 does not see very often, a good defense. It may not win the conference at a school like KU but it should get them bowl eligible every year.
Mangino was the last HC to have them relevant. They have been the laughingstock of college football for a lon time though. Miles would need some talent there to even try to get to .500 and stay there.

Miles is getting dangerously close to the line of age/relevance/perception with getting another P5 HC gig. I don't know that he would be successful at Kansas but IMO he may need to look at it closely if he wants to continue coaching. JMO
I'd love to see a coach try to create a running game, much like Georgia Tech's in the Big 12. The other schools wouldn't be used to seeing it and it would limit the amount of possessions the other Big 12 teams would have. See how that madator-defense-flag football they play handles that.
It seems to be a rush to judgement when saying Miles wouldn't work there. There's a lot of similarities to Kansas and Okie State (when he was first hired there.)
OSU had won six games over the last four years before Miles was hired as OC in the mid-90's. Kansas has won about the same over the last four years. OSU went from three wins the year before he was OC to eight wins the year he left to coach at Dallas. They fell back to that three and four win season until OSU re-hired him as their head coach and he turned that around again to an eight and nine win team. The foundation we saw Gundy inherited was from Miles. When Pickens started throwing money at the OSU athletic department we saw them hit the double digit win mark.
If he's done it once--and it's essentially twice--in the Big 12 with his style of offense what's to say he can't again at KU? OSU doesn't have any inherent advantages over OSU.
