šŸˆ Kirk Herbstreit: Alabama will be scary good in 2018

Kirk Herbstreit likes what he sees from Alabama early this year, and he expects big things from the Crimson Tide in the fall.

On Monday, the ESPN analyst used Twitter to write that Alabama will ā€œbe scary goodā€ once more this year. The Crimson Tide are coming off a 13-1 season that included the program’s fifth national title under coach Nick Saban. Alabama has to figure out a quarterback competition featuring Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa. But the Crimson Tide’s machine should roll on this year, no matter which player appears behind center.

Alabama should be a strong favorite to return to the SEC Championship Game this year and contend for another national title. The Crimson Tide lost to Auburn in the Iron Bowl last November, allowing the Tigers to clinch the SEC West. But Alabama went on to be given the fourth spot in the College Football Playoff before beating Clemson in the Sugar Bowl and Georgia in the national title game.

For sure, Herbstreit won’t be alone in expecting big things from Alabama this season, despite Georgia looming as a threat in the SEC East. It’s never too early to make predictions for the 2018 campaign.

I suspect that Joey is saving his bullets for the run-up to the actual season. Why he shows up for A-Day is weird. Did he lose a bet? He's almost as bias and at the same time bad as Jesse Palmer. The only reason he's not is that no one could possibly know less than Palmer and still keep their job.
