🏈 Kirby speaks

It's comments like that ... it makes me think he's not going to be in college football much longer.
I took note of a remark he made, rather gratuitously, during an SEC Network interview with Saban days before the conference championship. He confessed emphatically that he definitely won't be "doing this" at Saban's age. Saban laughed it off saying, "that's because you're smarter than me." Plus, he's been making comments about how much family time he has to sacrifice to recruit.

When the time comes, I imagine the PTB will look no further than Sark, Kiffin, Smart (should he look to scratch that NFL itch) and my dark horse would be DeBoer at Washington. What that guy done at all levels is phenomenal.

DeBoer is a guy I can see at Alabama in tge future. Excellent demeanor and just wins. Done a great job in Seattle. Will be interesting to see what he does without Penix and in the Big Ten.

He's done a really good job out there so far... in his career, the guy just wins games. Was pretty shocked to see him sort of mismanage their final possession last night, but they survived it.

Man, they do this very often. Look at their last 4 games and also another streak of 3 earlier in the season. Make it exciting at the end most times. They needed a FG and Pick 6 all in the 4th quarter to be Arizona State! Cardiac kids.

Yeah, I saw most of their games this year. And I still say they are the 4th or 5th best team overall, but they are hot right now at the right time. They play against Michigan like they did against Texas, they will likely beat them too. At this point, I hope they do.

No one is mentioning Lanning. He seems to be a no nonsense guy that can recruit.

Let's just hope CNS has another 5-7 years in him.

He's been mentioned in other threads on this topic, but until the time comes (even though it makes for good conversation at times), it's really pointless to dive too deep into it. The pool of attractive candidates today will look vastly different from the pool of attractive candidates when it's time to actually grab one IMO.
