As a slight distraction from the Iron Bowl, Kiffen to LSU has sprung up like a weed. Sure there is history with him and the big cajun and I'm sure he would get to talk with the media while at LSU but in all honesty, what is the upside for Lane? His ultimate goal is to be a head coach again (big secret right?) so why make a lateral move especially with all of the talent he will have coming back next season. Why start over? Just my thoughts

Would be high, high risk move with no more reward than to keep setting records and winning championships with Saban. However, it is Johnny Freshwater so you never know.

Backup plan. Kiffin's contract is up after this year. I forgot about that. I am hearing there are no plans to extend it or re-sign him.

IMO, it's not a lateral move but a downside. The only way I see him leaving is taking a head coach job somewhere west of the Mississipp.
