Anyone know where George Rogers is working?

Right down the road from the Tannyhill Pump & Save.

Lol! Nice!

More like Tannyhill pump and sack.

Ain't that the truth?

It's bad when your claim to fame is your long hair!

You remember when he came out Factor? He was a pretty good ball player (one I think we actually tried to get) but his career was defined by his insistence on not cutting his hair. That's all most people remember of him now.

We didn't try to get him...we did get him. He transferred to USCe.

Edit: I may be wrong. I cannot find anything on this. Maybe I am thinking of someone else around that era that transferred? Billy Ray maybe?

Billy Ray did transfer. He made Steve Spurrier at Duke! People give Spurrier a lot of credit for what he did at Duke, and rightfully so, but without Billy Ray, Spurrier's career might have been far different.

Yep. Thanks for the refresher, Keith. I remember Jeff Dunn was another QB coming out of high school that was supposed to be "Mr. Everything" around that time frame. Didn't he end up transferring out too?

He ended up transferring into a Vol-beater. I remember that pretty well. :D

You're probably thinking of someone else, like Gene Newberry. Another all-something-something QB that just never panned out.

Hope Tenn. loses every game next season, and every season after that. I would rather Fulmer be at Tenn. (for obvious reasons) so I could enjoy the losing streak against Bama, but Kiffin is going to make me enjoy the beatdowns also.

Jeff Dunn blew his knee out in 89 and Gary Hollingsworth took his place and ended up all-conference.

Gary H. turned out ok and did the most with what he had. Not the most talented player in the world but he was a solid football player.

I forgot that's what happened to Dunn. I think Vince Sutton was also on that team...speaking of blue chippers that didn't pan out.

Sutton finished a little earlier. You were dead on with Gary though. He made the best with what he had. I was a walk on on that 89 team and we were told by Homer Smith that JD was going to return on a medical but he would move to SS. Then Curry bolted and Stallings came in and JD never returned. Danny Woodson was on that team. He was eligible one year and then not the next and then on again.
