🏈 Kiffin Is Out

My two bits... Either Saban didn't like what he saw Saturday.... or things transpired surrounding the championship game planning that signaled Saban no further good would come of Kiffin AND/OR (more likely) Kiffin would be a detriment to their championship hopes.

The only two scenarios I can see where Kiffin is shown the door.

I agree, I was thinking Kiffins focus wasn't 100% on the playoff/NCG and Saban don't play that. I didn't think our play calling on offense was that bad (run the damn ball was 50 carries to passing 14 attemps).

Gonna say this and be done, Kiffin gets HC at Oakland nothing but a distraction. Kiffin gets HC job at UT, all you could hear was his dream job was USC and thus a distraction. Gets USC job, left from bus, distraction, fired, distraction. Gets OC at Alabama, multiple tweets, distraction, again, another missed bus thing, distraction, gets FAU job, miss bus again, distraction. Ends his career with Bama days before NC game, Distraction, A lot of this is on him, Just my opinion. He has done well, time to move on, quit the distraction that is Lane Kiffin.

If Sark had not been around all year I would say this could be a problem. But he has been around all year and they are already used to him and him to them. Yes the plays called will be in different situations, but it is not a brand new offense that will be installed.

This ^^^.... My observation of the WA game was that Kiffin kinda has been listening to a lot critics about running the ball. The guys that made the most explosive plays (Stewart and Ridley) only touched the ball a few times. Those highly criticized jet sweeps that bolstered Hurts numbers were never even used. I could practically hear Saban screaming... get it to the playmakers!

Kiffin had been late to several events in the past week leading up to the Peach Bowl -- meetings and media day -- so much that some Alabama staff members said they "were done with him," sources told McMurphy.

On Thursday, Kiffin appeared 15 minutes late to the team's media day for the Peach Bowl and was the last Bama coach to leave the event. By the time he got out of the Georgia Dome locker room to where the buses were supposed to be, they were already headed back to the team hotel in downtown Atlanta.

I said this earlier, even though Hurts is a smooth customer, in his press conference he was upset with his execution, not sure if it was himself or the play calling. He was however happy for Bo. Thanks for the post man.

The player's frustration seldom gets out, but it would be something Saban would be very sensitive too. This will end up being must reading after the NC game I'm sure.

i don't think our passing game can go downhill with a change at OC. It is near rock bottom at this point. At least we don't throw that many picks... that is maybe the highlight of it. Of course to accomplish that we need to toss at least 7 balls per game into the stands but...

run heavy in the title game and keep the passes simple. plan on rolling out Hurts with the run option if covered. when we get near the 50, take some shots at the end zone. get picked? it's a nice punt. no worries.
