🏈 Kiffin Is Out

Offensive performance can only go sideways or up next week. (Unless Sark doesn't get Bo 18-20 carries Monday). Whether it's better play calling, QB play or OL play.

BTW, Cecil went Nostradamus on Twitter early this morning.

It will impact Clemson more than Alabama. Sark has been a part of the offensive planning and evaluation for most of the season. He isn't a stranger to Hurts.

What can Clemson anticipate from a coach he hasn't shown any tendencies with Alabama's offense? They can't look at USC tape to get tendencies.

This, Clemson if they hadn't already done it are having to pull Sark film now...

Well played Coach, well played.

There are negavtives and positives. Obviously not ideal for Sark to be calling his first game under this type of pressure, with no actual experience to lean on doing so at UA.

However, it could completely stifle Clemson's defensive preperation. Yes we will be calling many of the same plays with the same schemes and ideas, but the actual trends that good scouting will pick up on are a moot point. (Consistent play action passing on 1st downs, nearly automatic deep ball on sudden change middle of field situations, etc).

Its a shame this couldn't have been done before the last game. But there are also some positives associated... And clearly the move wouldn't have been made if the positives didn't outweigh the negatives in Saban's mind.

I do not like the timing of this, but, I am sure the playbook will be the same just different play calling. I do not see this being as big a factor as we are making it to be. I read in the face of Hurts in his press conference when he kept saying "we need to Execute" that he wasn't happy with his performance or maybe the play calling and I can guarantee they know Sark and his style. The players do the executing not the coach. I believe it will throw a wrinkle at Clemson also.

Every bit of this. Also, Saban is an expert at minimizing distractions, and he will do so this time. One of the biggest parts of this is how much it helps us that Sark has been here. I think Bama will be just fine.

Penalties seem to be the norm on offense, I would bet we have had a offside penalty in every game maybe 2 a game. The one penalty they called for illegal man down field, was iffy in my opinion and helped the cause of losing momentum on that drive.

The lineman that was downfield was the TE who was covered by the WR thereby making him ineligible.
