Alabama assistant turns down Big 12 job opportunity

Dave Aranda was pursuing one of Alabama's defensive coaches for a position on his Baylor staff.

An Alabama assistant was being targeted for a position on Dave Aranda’s staff at Baylor.

He won’t be taking the job, though.

Crimson Tide cornerbacks coach Karl Scott has turned down a job offer from Aranda, according to sources.

Scott would have been co-defensive coordinator in addition to working with the secondary, per sources.

Well a darn good sign that coaches are actually wanting to stay... And passing up good offers to stay.... As opposed to the last handful of years.

I've been optimistic going into pretty much every off season, but this one feels different. Avoid the injury bug and this will be a fun ride!
