šŸŒŽ Karine Jean-Pierre says she’s leaving the Democrat party and announced her new tell all book about the Biden admin.

WASHINGTON — Joe Biden’s longtime White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced Wednesday she has left the Democratic Party and is writing a tell-all book about the ā€œbrokenā€ administration she served.

Jean-Pierre, 50, worked as Biden’s top spokeswoman for two years and eight months and stunned fellow White House alums by announcing the looming release of ā€œIndependent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines,ā€ due out on Oct. 21.

Not a requirement for treason. Imo it equates to aiding in an attempt to overthrow the government as the elected leader was not ruling and they covered it up.
Treason, as defined by the U.S. Constitution, consists of two actions: levying war against the United States or adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. "Levying war" involves acts of armed rebellion against the government. "Adhering to enemies" and "giving them aid and comfort" encompasses actions that support the U.S.'s foreign adversaries, such as providing them with information or resources.

KJP didn’t attempt to overthrow the government as she was ā€œsupportingā€ the existing President.

I don’t like the woman but her actions can’t be claimed as treason. If so, any politician who votes against a popular/important legislation could be tried for treason.

I stand corrected. I was using a general definition and not the constitutional definition.
I still believe they undermined national security and violated the trust of the American people by lying to us. Maybe there is a charge that covers that but probably not.

In this case, lying isn’t a crime. She was not under oath.

It will be interesting how she spins this in her book.

A better title would be Self Incrimination.

Personally, I can't say whether I like or dislike her based on what I saw over those four years. Today, I'm leaning towards the latter and these feelings are based on what we know today: or what some are alleging today?

Short story: I ran up to a friends house in Tarry Town yesterday to pick up one of my tackle boxes I'd left in his truck. He's a BIG CNN guy...it's probably on his TV 80 percent of the time its on (in the off season of sports, mind you.) I caught someone, don't know who, say something along the lines of "where's the loyalty?" While I snicker at the notion of loyalty in DC a comment I caught on Politico was a bit sobering.

In her role as Press SEC:

Jean-Pierre had begun working during the Biden administration with a New York-based publicist and had copied that person on official emails before some of Jean-Pierre’s White House colleagues intervened.

I don't care what side of the aisle you are on: this isn't cool...and all time she's doing this from behind the podium? It's like a driving instructor putting on a crash helmet before one's first driving lesson: nothing good can come from either.

I will not purchase the book but I may read it once it it’s the local library.
Funny you mention this. I was in the library the other day and noticed three copies of Tapper's book on the "New Releases" shelf. That sort of shocked me. I picked one up and skimmed through. It was about 350 pages or so and written at a fifth/sixth grade level. I'm guessing it would take me three, maybe four hours to read the book. I didn't pick it up.

I do believe there are quite a few around DC who will pick up KJP's book ... just to flip to the index and see if they are mentioned within.

Can't say i like anyone who tells me what I see makes me a conspiracy theorist then comes around to the same conclusion when they're not being paid to lie to me.

I just don't get her. Of course, our only exposure is what we've seen during the pressers and what we've read. My instinct reads a lot of insecurity.

I'd be satisfied if it keeps that party out of the white house for the next 4 or 5 elections.
I’d suggest telling the conservatives to stop being morons for that to happen, the dems are going to win the midterms then they’ll have the White House then the right will have all of them and it’ll keep going on and on and on and on just as it has for ages

I think it was in The Guardian. Don't hold me to that although it really doesn't matter. It's a 'side story' in all of this.

According to the article it was her plan to leave the White House and then join ABC and The View. That's no big deal. Psaki moved to MSNBC for her show (I think it's still in production; not sure.) McEneny (?) went to Fox News and the female panel show at noon.

Here's what the article was pointing out. The author makes a point. Female, black, and lesbian. She "checks" every box for that show and yet she didn't make the cut?

I'd say black-balled but there's the chance I'm racist and a misogynist if that's suggested. šŸ™ƒ Seriously, an odd turn of events in my view.
