📝 Kaho in practice rotations. UPDATE: Saban says he was granted release from WA due to academic reasons.

If the thought was use some of the family issues to get a release and then go to Alabama where there is an immediate need, then I'm really not a fan of this.

How does being in Tuscaloosa help the family issue? Was the family issue how he got his release as reported? You committed and signed with Washington, stick it out kiddo...

I don't understand how some can be ok with this AND not be ok with how Jalen handled his fan day interview.

1. He never enrolled at Washington

2. I think his aunt and uncle died recently

3. I have no idea how this gets him closer to home... Confusing to me too. Unless his dad lives in the area (assuming his mom lives in Reno since that's where he went to HS)

I read somewhere that he had an aunt and uncle die tragically and recently and that his parents were going through a divorce. Dad was adamant about him going to BAMA but Mom was pushing stay close. Supposedly, this tragedy and the family splitting up has caused him some issues where he lost a lot of weight. Somewhere else, I read that Dad was moving this way.
In the end, did he use the excuse of family tragedy to bail? No one but Ale and his family.

Maybe getting away from it all is the method he's trying. A lot of bad stuff going on and you just need to get away. No better time than having a support system this big and able to handle any situation you may need.

Per Andrew Bone: Recruiting - BONE: The latest on Kaho (Tuesday PM update) | BamaInsider.com

Expect him to sign with Alabama.

He has not enrolled or signed as of yet.

He has given clear indication of his intentions to Alabama.

Alabama hopes he makes it to practice tomorrow. The issue is cost of flight. Very expensive this soon. Alabama is not allowed to pay for the flight.

We will likely see some blowback from Washington as he was released bc of the fact he said he wanted to stay closer to home. It’s a delicate situation.

Stay tuned.

I know there are some reports that he has signed.

That was not the case around 3:30 p.m. Alabama, at least, was not aware he had signed. We will try to get confirmation once again.

What I was told- Bama feels very good about the situation especially if he can somehow get to campus tomorrow or this weekend.

They will start to worry a little if he hasn’t signed and can’t get a flight in the next day or two.

Saban said he is not able to comment on Kaho during his press conference. (Did not mention by name).

Which either confirms our report that he has yet to sign or that he has not faxed in his LOI.

We are trying to stay on top of it. Better to be accurate.
Hearing Kaho will arrive on Thursday.

This kid is so far behind in learning that I wouldn't expect anything from him this year. He's missed all summer (didn't participate at UW either), he's missed the first five days at Alabama (if he does come, he still has to go through the initial no pad practices that are mandatory), and if he's lost 20 pounds, will he be able to pass Saban's/Cochran's conditioning test?

LSU just lost their LB Tyler Taylor to an indefinite suspension this week and they can't get the NCAA to reinstate one of their top DBs who has a 2-year suspension on him. They were less impressive in the recruiting class of 2018 by Tiger standards and just got beat out by Georgia for their best 5* running back in the state of Louisiana. Tough times.

Georgia fans are even getting in on this. Had three guys at work ask me about what was going on. College football even more is starting to take on the political atmosphere where everyone is really starting to turn on everyone and there is zero civility anywhere. Hell, look at the Twitter post above.
