It's probably best for all parties involved. I hope he has a fine career wherever he ends up. Unless it's the Barn. :no-no: Just kidding. I'm sure he'll transfer down in class so that he wont have to sit out a year.
EDIT; Just noticed where Foster was from. Southland Carroll HS, Texas. Hmmm. Seems like we've recruited out of there before.
Anyone know his reasoning? I know he's a good kicker (minus that little showing at the Tulane game) and I was really looking forward to him taking over when it was his time. Regardless, I wish the best for him.

Some kids indeed just don't pan out. He may have become homesick. No one knows for sure except for him and his family. Best of luck though in where ever he goes.
Unfortunate that. I recall Smith being near all-world as a kicker out of HS, but was still rated as a 3 Star...which lowered our recruiting rating...unfairly I thought.
Anyway, as always, I wish the kid well at his next stop. Being from WV, he may be looking to head Northeast. Wouldn't it be odd for him to go to PSU and then return next season to BDS?
If I remember correctly there are 77 on that chart, and Smith leaving brings it down to 76. With 25 newbies, most of whom will qualify, we still have a ways to go to get to 85. Last year I wondered how it would all work out. This year I know that the man has a plan, and I'll just enjoy seeing it play out.
