Isn't Yeldon the only freshman back to run for over 1,000 in Alabama history? I thought I heard that somewhere, but I could easily be wrong.

That is true. No other freshman ever ran for 1,000. I think Terry Grant had been the closest

I think for the most part he's done it kind of quietly. I didn't know he was close to a record. Maybe it's the lack of media coverage?

Considering the record is a little over 3500 yards and there are guys who have put up 2000 in a season it's not something I'd expect the media to pay attention to until he gets close to the mark. Heck, Barry Sanders had more rushing yards in a season they TJ has had in two.
