that Ryan Perrilloux, LSU's other good QB, has been suspended indefinitely for trying to sneak into a casino using his older brother's I.D. I haven't seen an article yet, so I guess this was just released. Sounds like Flynn is LSU's go to QB now.

LSU's Ryan Perrilloux suspended.

LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux was suspended indefinitely from the football team after a meeting with coach Les Miles earlier this week.

LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette said Miles met with his player after hearing that Perrilloux, 20, was issued a misdemeanor summons by police when he allegedly tried to use his brother’s driver’s license to get onto the Hollywood Casino gambling boat.

Bonnette said the Saturday incident was the catalyst for the suspension but not the only reason.

Perrilloux could rejoin the team at Miles’ discretion, Bonnette said, but at this point he will not be involved in the team’s official activities.

Police were called to the casino about 5 p.m. by security guards and cited Perrilloux, Baton Rouge Police Department spokesman Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said Tuesday.

He was cited on one count of misrepresentation to gain access, McKneely said.

Perrilloux was given a court date, and released. McKneely did not know the court date.

One of the top football recruits in the country in 2004, Perrilloux was listed second on the LSU depth chart behind Matt Flynn.

I just don't understand why you put yourself in such a position like that. He knew what kind of trouble he could get in to if he got caught. I guess he thinks he's invincible because of his status. I hope Miles doesn't give him just a slap on the wrist.

Lol, didn't this kid say that he should have started over Russel?

And when he was on his way to Texas, didn't he announce that he should come in and start right away, even with a guy by the name of Vince Young there?

This kid is ridiculous...

One more case of a hot shot dumbass recruit trying to get away with something that has no relative importance. Who knows, maybe Saban dared the little sh#$ to do it!

Yea, he has never learned his lesson. He has a world of talent, but can't get his head right. He will either get swallowed up by the incoming talent or turn himself around. I hope he pulls it together much like Troy Smith did after a rough start at Ohio State. IMO, Miles will not wait on him. Miles had to sign this kid, since he was probably the #1 recruit in America and the lynchpin in Miles' first recruiting class.

If Perriloux washes out that might be one of the biggest falls for a prep superstar that I personally can remember. I did a pre-season article on LSu a couple of years ago and Perriloux was one of the players I covered. To say that his resume was impressive would be an understatement. A lot of great high school players never pan out in college, but Perriloux was All-World by just about every major publication around.

I can't stress enough just how incredible his resume heading into college was. If there was an award to be won that kid won it. Twice sometimes.

Nothing to see here folks. Fake idea for gambling? Give me a break. He is 20, it should not even be a crime. This instance on its' own merits is little to talk about.

I agree, so what. God knows I did worse, then again nobody much cared...

I agree that if it is nothing more than a "fake id" thing, that it is not a big deal. However, the rumors from a few months ago were suggesting it was a little more than that. Originally, there was talk that he was also trying to launder counterfeit money in the casino (though he wasn't the ringleader of the counterfeit operation). If that was indeed the case, they probably went light on him in exchange for his testimony and/or help in the investigation. That might also explain why Miles has put him on the shelf, instead of just making him run a little extra after practice for a seemingly bush league transgression.
