Y'all really think the Uber driver, who's very likely sober (at least not drunk), is really going to make a huge fuss and press charges if he accidentally took the charger?

And you really think the cops are going to take all this time to arrest Marlon if that was the case? Absolutely not.

Here where I’m at if a victim wants to press charges even for a $15 charger we have to arrest we have no choice then the DA determines if there’s enough evidence to go to court. I’m no “legal expert” just a popo.

You can’t put too much into a police report. In most cases like this what’s written is what the victim tells the cop. Not sure if that’s the case with Marlon.

Again I’m only speaking as a popo that isn’t in Alabama and I don’t have a clue how their laws are

I just read the report and my guess is he was charged with a felony because the victim said Marlon had his fists balled. It didn’t help Marlon by lying to the cops however

Haven't used Uber since they admitted to hiding a breach and paying $100k. Lyft only for me now.

Uber driver sober. There's my first laugh.
Trust the word of an Uber driver. That's my second laugh.

A recent story in my life involved an Uber driver and a charge on my card of over $600. If there's one thing I've left my dealings with Uber knowing is they're just another cab company and you never can tell who is driving the car you're in.

This story stinks. The truth will come out eventually. Most hotels have a drawer full of chargers and cords they will give you if you ask. Any one that travels knows this.

My problem with what you're saying is you 100% believe one side, even before we heard a 10th of the story you already had your mind made up. I have no clue how you can pretend like you're better than people that are dismissing it because its Marlon.

You have a tendency to assume shit without reading I’m beginning to notice.

Nowhere did I say it was ok...but unlike you I look at all the facts and also unlike you I don’t jump to conclusions without knowing the entirety of the story.

According to the lawyer there are a dozen witnesses that coraborate Marlon’s story which if true again is what we common sense type call proof.

It hasn’t occurred to you that the Uber driver might be lying because he knows who Marlon is?

As for the comment “if it was an Aurburn fan” I’d still have the same opinion. I don’t look at things skewed I look at facts and common sense

I agree treat people with respect no matter who they are.

I’ll also add that I don’t know whether Marlon was an ass like it says or not I wasn’t there. I just know how things are here where I live with the laws and being arrested.

I will say the felony charge is an overreach and it’ll never stick.

So common sense tells me if he's too drunk to realize the cord he has didn't fit... That the uber driver knew it was his cord, not Marlons, and shockingly didn't want Marlon to take it... So it took a real drunken idiot to be a dick and not give it back.

Mad props to the uber driver for following through despite Bama fans hating him for life... Will be a good lesson for Marlon.

I dont dislike police. I also didn't say the police or the report was lying. I also didn't even say the Uber driver was lying. You are complaining that Alabama fans are giving Marlon too much of a benefit of doubt and were 100 percent convinced of your stance before you had even a sliver of the story.

Yes I did... I deduced via common sense. The police report just further supports my sentiment.
