🏈 JT Barrett arrested

What a dumbass. Captains don't act like that. And screw being young and making mistakes, because that mistake can kill innocent people.

Ohio State is done now. I just don't think 12 Gauge has what it takes, as we've seen many close calls thiS season.

So Cardale Jones picked JT up after he was released, wonder how that conversation went.

This book should be an easy read, less than 5 minutes. Ironically it's taken Urban years to write...

It was also sad that when Rece announced the breaking news on Gameday, the crowd went nuts. That's nkthing to celebrate. I'm sore we'd have fans do the same if the starting QB for the Barn was arrested but that's not very classy in national TV. In my opinion of course...

On the other hand, based on Barrett's body weight and frame, blowing that percentage equates to about seven beers over a two hour period.

That's not a guy getting shit-faced drunk and getting behind the wheel. That kind of thing could happen to anyone.

Interesting world we live in these days. Neighbors kid just got a DUI, gonna cost him about $10k in fees, he totaled his car (single car accident, nobody was hurt thankfully). His dad is in LE and didn't pull any strings for him.

He's a dumb ass for driving somewhere he was going to be drinking like that (or drinking at all).

reading the story, it says he was trying to avoid a dui checkpoint. so he gets hit with only a misdemeanor?

any other person (not on the #1 team in the country) would have been arrested for felony evading as well as the dui.

it also says that meyer set his punishment. the ad should have stepped in and said, "no, it's gonna be more than just 1 game." but since it was "only" a misdemeanor, he was suspended for just 1 game.

i can tell you this, if that'd been me getting caught doing something that idiotic and stupid, the coach or ad wouldn't have to decide my punishment. my mom would have driven to that school and yanked my butt out indefinitely....scholarship or not, starting qb or not.

Cue Urban Meyer's interview with Bill O'Reilly from earlier this week...the timing of things is just cold irony at times.

O'Reilly: "Look at Jameis Winston down at Florida State. He steals some crab legs or something. But the guy's a brilliant quarterback, so they let it go down there. I don't think you would have let it go, right?"

Meyer: "It would have been hard to let that go."

O'Reilly: "All right, so you would have gotten rid of him."

You're right, if Auburn's QB was arrested, Alabama fans would do the same thing. I don't think they are cheering the arrest more so than the odds improvement it gives them to win, move up in the rankings, or make the playoffs.

But it's against the law. Doesn't matter how you want to equate it. He kills someone, that argument gonna be used in court or will his life be ruined? He's the star quarterback of the number one team in the nation, he could get a ride from anyone within a 100 mile radius. Hell, call a girl to come get you, I'm sure they'd line up for him. Of course it can happen to anyone, anything can for that matter, but I just have no sympathy for that. I have gotten a DUI at 21, and it took that for me to understand the harm it could have caused anyone else. It's just a choice where you're only concerned about yourself. I have never had one drink and been behind the wheel since. Just a selfish chance I'm not willing to take.

If been Auburn yes the cheering could have been heard all our the state, but it would been the same, but much louder if it had been a Bama player too. Right now all OSt can see is winning not punishing the guy for what he did. If OSt was a losing team, I bet the guy would be sitting the rest of the season.
