🏈 Jones/Scott Injuries?

I've seen Julio walking around with a cast and sling on, along with BJ Scott walking on crutches with a knee wrapped up. I've heard that Julio played with a broken wrist all year, but didn't tell the coaches because he wanted to play so bad, and also he had a small surgery in his shoulder. I also heard that BJ Scott played with a torn meniscus all year for the same reason as Julio's wrist. Any more insight on what happened or what the injuries are?

I knew he had shoulder problems all year(year) but I find it hard to believe he played wr as physical as he is with a broken wrist and not telling anyone. /shrug

Tuff kid if he did. Would be hard to block and catch with a broken wrist at his position.

If he had a broken wrist this year I feel sorry for D-Backs next year

I first noticed Julio having the shoulder problem in the LSU game. It was on a play when he was fighting for extra yards (I know that doesn't narrow it down) and he got speared late in the back of the shoulder when he was on the ground. I don't know if that was the first time he injured it, or if it just aggravated an existing injury.

I quasi-complained about some drops he had late in the year and in the Sugar Bowl when he developed a tendency to cradle the ball instead of catching it with his hands. The wrist would certainly explain that.

He's a warrior, no doubt.

I believe he's had the broken bone in his wrist since high school, but was set on playing as a freshman. He's a tough kid. That isn't news.

I'm not sure when BJ suffered the MCL injury. I just heard about that recently.

There are several players having minor surgery right now. It happens, ya know?

If you recall, Julio was having problems with his shoulder for the last part of the season. I think the first time it was really noticeable was at the UT game. If you recall, at LSU he had to leave the field for a few plays with his shoulder bothering him. It was noticeable on some of his catches/attempts where balls were thrown over his head. Early in the season he was pulling those in...

BJ's knee problem is something he's dealt with all season.

Barrett has already had surgery on his shoulder. Tyler Love hasn't, so I don't believe he'll end up having to go through any procedure.

I've heard Brad and Kareem are scheduled to have minor surgery soon as well...maybe this week.

I applaud his toughness, but you can't mess with a broken wrist. Some of the bones in your wrist have so little circulation that fractures can cause the bone to die.

Is BJ's knee a cartilage tear or MCL sprain?

Oh, it wasn't the pressure of late October, November getting to him? (think Gary D.)

Julio's shoulder was probably more of an issue for him than his wrist was, but there were a lot of guys that played though some fairly significant injuries. Especially on offense. They showed a toughness that I haven't seen as a whole since Stallings was here.
