Me being a former DL coach, Jon Allen is easily becoming my favorite DLman of the Saban era.

Guys his stature usually are good at one or two things, mostly a straight bull rush, or gap shooting. But, this kid has a plethora of tools in his belt. His freakish combination of speed and power for a 290 # guy is uncanny. Never takes a false step, and his hand placement on would-be blockers is superb. Only thing I haven't seen him use much is a spin/stab. I think Tim Williams has that move on lock down though.

True, but even though he never won one himself, he can certainly state that fact as a mere observer, just like most of us that have never won a championship, either.

But, I think his voice has a bit of credence considering he, a DLman himself, was a Heisman finalist.
