🏈 Jimbo Fisher talks with TideSports about Coker.

That's not going to sit well with some...

I had a "rolling my eyes" moment seeing someone talk about Blake throwing with the 1's in 7-on-7 drills and using that as a basis for saying "Coker isn't all he's cracked up to be."

McCarron's issues were just bad tendencies. He would throw off his back foot, against Oklahoma he trusted his arm a little too much, and just didn't have a strong enough arm for some throws, but McCarron as a player was bar none one of the best QB's to play at UA. Coker may end up showing he has better mechanics and a better arm than McCarron, but I don't think he'll ever reach the level of McCarron just because of what McCarron accomplished and his leadership skills. I do hope Coker ends up developing as an amazing QB and has the talent to get us all the way. Probably most excited about his mobility honestly.

Way too soon to crown a guy who has never started a big game, never seen a big time defense, never faced that do or die moment against LSU or Auburn. How much of a leader is he? What kind of chemistry will he have with his teammates? What kind of attitude does he have? We will know over the next three months.

Agreed. He does seem to have good raw talent. But, after watching his 2013 plays, it looks like he (and Kiffin) will have a lot of work to do to get to the level of poise and leadership that AJ has had the past few seasons.
