First off, it should come as little surprise. Jeoffrey Pagan is the highest ranked(rivals fwiw)DE prospect we have had during Saban's time here.

He is listed at 6'4, 272, and running a 4.63 40. The thing that prevented him from a 5th star was experience IMO, as he is a WR convert, and most likely got the ranking from raw ability and his pass rush.

He is a great pass rusher:

I foresee him making the rabbits this year. His current weakness with the run , unless he breaks out in the fall, will most likely prevent him from being an every down player this year. Stil, we have a guy who is probably going in the firsst round in April who started his career here as a roleplayer also.

He will be fun to watch on third downs.

Yeah, Pagan looks awesome and I feel like he will contribute significantly on the DL for us, maybe not this year, but in a couple of more.... Could you imagine a Pagan, Fanning, Clowney DL for the next four years???

But in another comment/question: In the video above, why is there people on the field in some of the clips, like on the 10 yard line???

Probably a spring or fall controlled scrimmage. In the spring, sometimes our middle school and freshman teams will participate in a spring jamboree involving multiple teams where you'll have two games going on the same field working from the 35 or 40 yard lines in with coaches and backups for the offense standing near the 50.

This kid plays like he believes that he can make the play on every snap...and as if he has the understanding that it is his job to do so.

He reminds me on Marcel Darius, only a bit leaner...which may equate to him being able to cover more ground.

I do look forward to seeing him play.

Thanks for the video link.
