šŸˆ Jackson State hires Deion Sanders as head coach.

I just did a quick search on Glassdoor.com to try and get an indication of coaching salaries at JSU. The only one I found was the Head Women's Soccer Coach who made ~$51K. That may be 1/4 of the Head Football Coach's salary. Assistant coaches aren't likely to make much more.
Hendrick was making 380K per year.

Lookup Deion's charter school in Dallas. It was shutdown due to some serious shady business.

He sold his place in Prosper 4-5 years ago if it i remember correctly. Still don't have a tenant in the 24k sq ft house. The 160 acres around the house has been developed into more houses and a shopping center.

I agree. My boss from 2008-2010 lived in his neighborhood outside of Atlanta. My boss was president of the HOA, was a very nice subdivision. Deion had an old satellite dish, the big ones, in his side yard. Was against the rules to have those up Where they could be seen. He sent a few letters and no response. Had to go to his house. Deion agreed to take it down but wasn’t happy about the threat of a fine. He took it down and laid it in the front yard so that you could see it through his fence and gate. A big ole satellite dish laying there. Wasn’t against the rules for some reason. Left it there forover a year.

Another time, when he was still playing, he erected a batting cage in his back yard. A no no, evidently. John started on him about it, letters, etc. He ignored. Made a visit and Deion got mad. He started just paying the fines. Then... he erected huge lights. Like would be on a baseball or football field. John said there were 6-8 of them. Lit up the whole neighborhood at night. Really pissed everyone off. Paid the fines for a long time then eventually disassembled it all.

I live in Deion's old neighborhood (it's nice, but not opulent). Moved here in 1996 and Deion was already gone. The owners when we moved here had a daughter who was friends with my daughter so we were invited over several times. His old house has a pool in the shape of a football and a hot tub in the shape of a baseball (both have tiles for the stitching of the balls). There is still a batting cage (it uses netting, not chainlink fencing).

The backyard isn't huge. There is no baseball field or football field there. Here's a satellite photo of the place:

Interesting stuff! It doesn’t look that big or over the top. I’m surprised. I assume was the same neighborhood where my old boss lived, but I have no idea what it was called. Funny about the pool and hot tub, I like that. And I was saying the lights he erected were for for a batting cage, but the kind you put up for a baseball or football field. Big lights on poles. Said he’d come out at night and turn them on even when no one was hitting. I’m not surprised.

The old owner of the original Charlotte Hornets built a poolat his Lake Wylie house outside of Charlotte many years ago. Had the hornet in tiles on the bottom to make it look like a basketball court. House burned down shortly after I moved to Charlotte but the pool survived. The new owners kept the pool logo in place. When I built pools, we’d do some interesting designs in tile for folks in the gunite pools, but never a logo or anything like that.

The neighborhood is called Seven Oaks in Johns Creek, GA. In the satellite photo, the batting cage is on the left, under the trees.
