🏈 I've had my mind on Mark Ingram the last few weeks ... but not about the Heisman win.

And, it's not related to Henry.

Go back with me for a second to the year 2009. I want you to stop for a minute and think about the opening game against Va Tech.

The offensive staff revealed we had the Wildcat in our offense in game one. The results those first few games led a lot of people to talk about "bad play calling," and people offering critical commentary on how he was running that season.

How much does that sound like this season with Drake?

As you're reading this, understand: I am not and I can't speak for you. I can speak for a handful of Bama fans who were saying "Hang on a second. The results aren't there yet. But, the holes are there. Ingram's timing is off. He needs to allow the play to develop instead of trying to make the play."

Then came the South Carolina game where that timing just ... well, clicked.

Timing. Trying to make the play instead of allowing it to develop. And Drake. How familiar is this?

I came away from this game beginning to see the evolution of Drake ... he's beginning to allow the play to develop. In my opinion, it's very similar to what Ingram went through during that 2009 season.
