All of the UT fans I know are talking Gruden.
In no way do I see that happening.
But, I hope they do. It'll serve to keep that program where it is for another four or five years.
How anyone can think, if only for a second, that Gruden would deal with the coddling some kids and parents require is beyond me. How anyone can think he'd want to spend the effort required on the recruiting trail? Another question where the answer is lost on me.
And here's a question I'll throw in for good measure.
Sure, he was a GA there. So what! When does being a GA equate to loyalty to a school especially considering those he worked with are no longer around the program.
But more importantly; answer this. His wife has close ties to UT is one of the reasons mentioned. When has a coach taken a job because he wife has ties to his employer? I've seen coaches leave because their wives weren't happy. I've seen coaches stay because of wives and children.
But, to take a job because his wife is from that area?
Yeah, just like Cower was going to coach college because he has a house in...
Ask those UT fans around you those questions; please! I'd love to know their answers...but strongly suspect they'll walk away mumbling.
