I am excited to see what he can do and I am really pulling for him to be successful. He stuck around when anyone else would have transferred out. He loves his teammates, his school and the fans. He has the right attitude and I have a ton of respect for him. He is definitely a better passer than JM. And he has some experience in game situations. I think he's going to do a great job. I would rather have one Ty Simpson who knows the value of hard work and commitment than a dozen Caleb Downs who only care about themselves and the money.

Then the running backs should be much better, and hopefully the Oline will be a strength. My biggest concern is Sheridan. If he's still the OC he's going to have to do a whole lot better. If this offense fails it will be because of him.

I try to remain as optimistic about Sheridan as possible. He did call some really good games but the one's that did not go right was more about stupid, sometimes very stupid penalties, waiting on the defense to gel, poor execution, etc. Not sure it is worth blowing everything up at this point and starting over unless Grubb makes a decision to join his old coach but that is looking less likely. Just don't hire Bobo!

Time on the bench hopefully matured him, if reports of him pressing were true 2 years ago.

I am interested to see what Russell does. How much does he push Ty and Mack.

if a 1st year 18/19 year old beats out a 4/5 star 4th year in program... we are in trouble. I think Russell is good maybe generational... but I just don't believe it will translate year 1 from HS to College. My guess is it'll take a year or two to grow and if he's starting year 1... we might be in for a bumpy bumpy ride.

Exactly. There were criticisms of miami not playing their QB1 in second half of meaningless bowl. We could have played QB2 in our-meaningless bowl....just as easy.

Given him a start on spring...maybe fall. Couldnt have come out any worse...( within reason...injury...etc).

For sure QB1 certainly didnt do anything for his-stock...
