The south has the heat and the north has the cold. It is suppose to be in the 30's here Friday night for high school football. Both conditions have an impact on the game. I played in the heat of the south and coached in the cold of the north and both are miserable.
Personally I played FB in the heat and in the cold. Cold is by far my favorite. You can always do jumping jacks to warm up between series but it is awfully hard to cool down when it is 98 with 98% humidity
The heat was Mississippi heat and the cold was Idaho cold so pretty decent contrast
