🏈 It looks like there is going to be a group that puts Kareem Jackson in ...

Well I'm not taking anything away from anyone that is critical of Kareem, but it is a negative response. There for in the negative group of fans, JMO tough.

As for Kareem, we all know he's had his problems. We can also point out other players that's had their poor play at times. It's a little unfair to put the poor secondary play from the Sugar Bowl all on Kareem though. From what I saw...it was a group effort.

I understand your point Sandra.....but you know as well as I do with the likes of Nico Johnson and Dre Kirkpatrick coming this fall, that Kareem has no choice but to get into gear.

Unlike previous staffs that have been here, you know as well as I do, that CNS will have the best 11 out on the field week in and week out. At any given point that 11 can change.

On a side note, Dre came up into the stands right down from me on Saturday and signed autographs and took pictures for about 30 minutes. Folks flocked all around him and he was eating it up. Pretty nice guy.

I agree Doug. Maybe Kareem just outperformed his freshman year. ???? And yes, I know the best 11 will always be on the field unlike previous years. Saban isn't exactly thrilled with the secondary, so I'll just side with him for now.;)

RJ, we must have been close because he came up right next to me. Really friendly, and had no problem doing things for the fans. I got a handshake and took a picture with him before he left. I'll try to post it sometime this week.

Yeah we must have been close fo sho!! I was about 10-12 rows up from where he was standing, but there was such a crowd, I just watched from a distance.

The only member of our secondary that seemed to be on his game in the Sugar Bowl was Arenas. During the season these guys were a pretty good tackling group, but that night they reverted to arm tackling and not locking up. Hopefully that night was a lesson learned about preparation and intensity. Of course in remembering back to some of the things we posted in response to our Ute visitors the team wasn't the only group taking them lightly.

On that note -

I've seen a lot of people mention, in glowing terms, the hit KJ put on Peek. Yeah, it was a good hit but all I saw was him not wrapping up.

I don't have any issues w/ K Jackson. Yea he blew on a couple of plays in the Sugar Bowl but if anyone here blames that loss on that kid then they are navigating through a mine field while looking through a straw. But I know it is always easier to look for the scape goat...In his defense, he totally locked up that wide receiver at Vandy as a true freshman in '07 &amp & has done it quietly since (w/ exception to Utah). CNS defense leaves those CB's on islands by design; therefore CNS is going to put in the best the team has to offer. I know I like him much more than L Mitchell or Eric Gray.

Where were you sitting? I was about 30 seats up on G & I totally missed this one...

OK, this may be the "girl" in me but I thought that hit was kind of uncalled for. Maybe I'm taking it wrong. Peek looked either ticked, mad or had his bell rung. Was it not a little close to the head?

It was football - and I hate using that cliche.

It wouldn't have been a shot to his head if it wasn't for Fanney already tackling Colin from behind. Brandon sort of pulled up down a bit while putting him on a pedestal as well. Without Fanney there, it just would have been a shot on his numbers/shoulder pads.

With Fanney, it ended up being a little high.

It did ring his bell a bit...and I could have done without KJ crowing a bit about the hit as well...but that's a different story.
