A big videoboard is cool and new concessions are fine, but count me in the group that isn't distracted by material and shiny things when more bothersome problems continue to exist within an administration.
I give Jay Jacobs credit, he's very determined to raise Auburn's level of success in all sports. It seems his determination and cavalier attitude coincides with the massive collapse of 2012 and how close he and his friends were to losing their jobs. I respect that specific change in mindset, as I view it in a change in mindset. You can clump in creating a media entity within the university to craft your own messages, hiring consultants (for lots of money) to create positive headlines for officials, etc., in the change in mindset and strategy. I get it.
But, when you stand in front of donors and say you answer to nobody except God and the only reason negative things are written about Auburn is because those people are jealous of your success, some will buy that and some won't. It all depends on where your priorities are, I guess.

I guess his check didn't clear since he's clearly been a part of the "media entity within the university to craft your own messages."
