You never know how ridiculous a rule is until it happens. If it had popped the nets and flipped out, I get that, but to just lie in the net, that looks like a future amendment just waiting to happen.

It's a basket. It's already in the books. The question was rhetorical.

The keys to the rule are things like from above, goes through, and remains in. It's literally in the rule book. Furthermore, it's technically a dead ball then as well which also means the attempt was successful and it was a dead ball when Liberty knocked it back up through the hoop.

It's a case of not knowing the rules.
