Yep. I thought the MRI was yesterday, but I saw nothing online. I don't know when/how he got hurt, but I saw him standing on sideline for much of the game. I'm very concerned about this injury and how it affects our LB rotation. He's really a critical piece in that complicated puzzle.
A few other injuries took Alabama players off the field, but none appeared too serious.
Starting linebacker Courtney Upshaw saw limited action while still recovering from a sprained ankle suffered against San Jose State.
Backup linebacker Chris Jordan was expected to get an MRI on his injured shoulder on Sunday and second-string cornerback DeMarcus Milliner suffered a “stretched hamstring,” Saban said.
Worried about Jordan too. Maze actually got stepped on by Trent Richardson I think. Check the replay of Richardson following maze's block, and I think Trent or the defender stepped on the back of his foot. It hurts, but it's rarely a big deal. Still, Trent has to take it easy because not only is he destroying the other teams' players, he's hurting our guys too. Heck, I was out on the quad the ENTIRE GAME, and he bumped me once, and I'm still sore.
The news on Jordan is positive, considering how things were worded Saturday night. Saban said he would be "limited" today. Same goes for Carpenter. Upshaw and Ingram will both practice but have limited reps.
I can't believe his conditioning wasn't where they wanted it by the start of the season. He's just a huge guy. I think he'll end up being a heavier player in the NFL and play with his hand on the ground.
