I thought they spent a lot of time in a five man front; especially in the first half. As soon as we started seeing two TE/HB sets the success rate changed.
That speed sweep has been setting plays up all year long.
**Something to chew on ...
Out of 128 teams listed within the college football stats site, you'll find 10 teams with more offensive snaps (by more, I mean significant as in 25-50 more. Bowling Green has roughly 90 more for one of the largest differences.)
I bring that up going to this point:
An offensive line going through close to 600 snaps/plays on the year ... just having gone through a section of the schedule that 99% of fans said was absolutely brutal a month or two ago ... going against defensive linemen who have played, likely, 33 to 40% of those snaps, and they're getting beat ...
Chances are we've got a group of guys that are ... plainly and simply, worn the hell out.
Players are resting today. Coaches are resting right now. What the hell ... maybe let some anxiety rest for a bit, eh?
