🏈 Is Coach Mac gone?

Well I know he's looking to improve his career but it would be in his best interest to wait for a BCS school opening. It's a long road if he starts at a place like San Jose State, a road that usually ends in failure before success.

I can only wish him the best of luck with whatever happens.

In spite of the fact that McElain seemed to do a great job against Florida, if he left it may be for the best in the long run.......I REALLY hope Saban gets the right Offensive Coord. if McElwain leaves. Saban is trying, but seems to be having a hard time finding a good playcaller/OC coach rolled into one.

I think McElwain's play calling has been perfectly fine. People only remember the bad times, but there's been many times he's called the perfect play for the situation.

Well it wasn't my intention to turn this thread into a bash Coach Mac thread :lance:

I've thought that he has done a fairly good, if not great, job as the OC. Yeah, we had some moments that I questioned his play calling, but that is par for course. And people naturally gravitate to the negative too, so it is normal for it to be highlited.

I prefer the style of play that we have as an Offense & I do like how he manages the game that suits that style. It doesn't have the flash & dash sex appeal of the UF's or the Big 12 at times but I think championship football is rooted in the style of offense we play & call. And Coach Mac does a good job w/ it.

Which is why he is being considered. I just think San Jose State is a tough road to hoe, much like Tider27 noted.
