Definitely something that could come back and haunt him. But to be honest, with the amount of talent he's able to recruit he should be having double digit wins each year with a nine win year being a "let down". Much like Bama.
Strong is a good coach and I've Texas has improved with the dumpster fire he was left with after dismissing a lot of players. So reason would lead you to believe that once he starts getting some stability into the program and his "process" is fully implemented then there's no reason they should see five loss seasons anytime soon.
No doubt. I actually love seeing them lose, but the game overall benefits, I think, when they're good. Makes our road harder to travel now, under the new system, but it should shut up this Baylor and TCU yapping at least a little bit.
Maybe it was taken out of context, but I would have to think Strong meant "there is no way in hell we should lose 5 games a season again!" With the abundance of talent in TX, he should pull a 9-10 win season like getting out of bed each morning. I think that it is good when the traditional powers are doing well.
