Nice post, Argo. I know most of the staff and met most of them at one point or another (the thread starter, Tim, included). Most of us have been talking Alabama football for close to 15 years now. Half the time when I post, I am not even worried about having to be a moderator here. Most people get it. Birdman37 is a prime example of someone who has become a valued member of this site after a little bumpy start. Someone apparently said something to "oldschool" and he is still lashing out about it whenever he can. I bet if he was standing among the group of us, he would keep his attitude in better check. If he doesn't like it here, there are plenty of places to go or go back to.

But I think the thing with CC is he let the disagreements he had with me and a few others in the politics section spill over to this section and he decided to argue anything and everything no matter how ridiculous it was. He always has an odd fascination with me and wanted to beat my ass and maybe other things I dont wanna know about (since he continues to stalk my facebook). Hes the main reason I'm trying to stay away from the politics section now, it just leads to ugly arguments and people like him can blow things out of proportion and refuse to let things go.

I am pretty sure that you have nailed the problem, only it is you, Bamacore, TideNTrue, and a couple others that are carrying the fight to me...

Any neutral person that reads through this thread can clearly see who was being attacked and who was just simply defending his position.

The only time I ever carry a "fight" to anyone is when they start personally attacking me or others in an unwarranted fashion. That's the way I've always been on this site for the past 8 years, and I can guarantee you if it were any other way I certainly wouldn't have been here that long. Also, 9/10 times I always try to bury the hatchet with anyone that I get into an "argument" with. Hell, I even did that with you the first time, CC. But, alas, you continue to hurl personal insults without a care in the world. You have always, and I emphasis ALWAYS have been the one to start flinging them. You can try and paint it differently all you want but that's the absolute truth.

Yeah, because your first post in this thread wasn't pissing and moaning about this thread in general. You were just attacked for no reason. Poor little you. And there have been no threats, Wayne, I don't care if you stay or leave. Just know that if you stay, and you continue down this road of ignorance, you probably aren't going to get anything out of this forum but misery.

I learned a painful lesson when it came to political forums a long time ago and just don't post or read them any more. He will not bring that crap to this forum, I promise you that. It has no place here, at all!

Lesson learned... this is by far my favorite place on the web and the only football forum I even visit. I've really only had a problem with one poster on here for the most part and that is CC/Old School.

I've had the same thoughts, although I just try to enjoy the moment. It's kind of funny, when Shula was here I was really interested in recruiting and always seemed to be looking towards the future at what we COULD have. Nowadays, I keep up with recruiting a whole lot less (atleast during the season) and just enjoy the success that we're having in the present.

I realized the same thing myself. During the Dubose/Fran/Shula years I followed recruiting closely. I guess i was hoping we could land that superstar would would carry us to victory. Now, I only look at recruiting on signing day to marvel at the next set of future NFL players Saban is bringing in.

How long do you think we have with Saban? I know he got that raise/extension last year, and he has said multiple times he wants to finish his career with the Tide .. But I wonder how many years we have left. I feel confident in his staff to take up the reins someday as well.

FWIW, I've been a part of this forum since 2005 for a reason. We have all seen various opinions across the board (I remember what it was like under the CMS era). The last thing the moderators are around here is some gustapo when it comes to having a different opinion. The issue comes down to keeping the 'middle-school girl drama' to a minimum. Or cutting off tantrums, I can watch my 5 year old for that (hell, I've seen game threads that'll make your eyes bleed when it comes to tantrums).

Oh man please don't remind me of the CMS era again :lol:. It was pretty rough, although this forum allowed us to post our opinions so it took some of the load off venting lol. Ths is and has always been my favorite Bama forum. I wished some of the OG posters would return and the write-ups would come back more frequently but this is still the best Bama forum. All about the quality over quantity!

Personally I think we have a great staff here. I never see any eal issues unless someone is acting boneheaded. I don't venture in political forums so I guess I miss a lot of the reverb.

As for the era we are in, I'm at the point that I just enjoy it while it lasts. We have had one hell of a run and hope we can manage to squeeze out a few more before Saban retires. For those of us that missed CPBB's great run, we are getting to relive what it must of been like. I will get to tell my daughter of great games and stories like my dad and grandfather did for me. :chat2_cheers::a:

Philly, I seem to think that CNS holds on to the keys for 4-5 more years and then hands them over to CKS. I think his drive now is to match or maybe even pass Coach Bryant. It is about his legacy now! As stated by a few others, Kirby hasn't left for a reason. I think that sometime or another, CNS, Kirby, and Mal have sat down and sort of hashed out a scenario where one retires and the other takes over.
