I'll start out with a qualifier here. "Shepard's Pie" is from the UK. I'll eat it...but, no.

Now, I mentioned this in another thread. Pan Thai is a good dish.

So, tell me. @Bamabww you been eatin' lately.

What's an International dish that you have had everyone needs to try, at least once?

The "Gullah" flavor comes from W and C Africa...now one of those Charleston things. This comes from N Africa in its origin. They call it

It's a...of gee...sauteed onions, a few spices, green peppers, and eggs nestled in until they firm up. I do it in a cast iron skillet. @BamaFan334 Cheeses vary...the tomatoes are the main "base."

Well, it calls Sheppard pie here with hamburger meat. But Sheppard pie in GB has lamb meat. When you do it with hamburger meat, it calls Cottage pie. Guess, what's on our table tonight! Cottage pie.

Germany: Schnitzel: A breaded and fried meat cutlet, often made from pork, veal, or chicken.
We have a Thai here now.

banh mi!

Not just one from the store down the street, a true sandwich made by an old Vietnamese family!!!

Also, anything authentic Thai!!!
I think it was Johnathan Kellerman I was reading...talked about one of those in a book where it was one of his favorite little things...a sandwich you have to eat over the sink.

I've seen on a few menus but people always want to throw tofu in it...

Uh. No.

Don't try to "play" with me here. This is pork tenderloin territory.

Here's where people screw up. They use Panko, or something like it. You gotta use breadcrumbs.

I have a few other opinions on this I'll leave aside for today...or, this minute.

Oh shit...

...and I'll walk away.
And I did...to the kitchen.

You guys have to understand. @Krimson hasn't reached a UT level or an Auburn level yet. He's at Ole Miss right now.

When I mention food...it's like the Dave Grohl vs Nandi Bushell drumoff. He keeps coming back.

So, back to the kitchen...

Ya got that rice, Kayne. Marsh Hen Mills for anyone that wants to know what I'm talking about.

Sauteed veggies and a spicy sweet chili type of paste. You can't over cook the veg's...

When the rice is done still warm, mix in the beef...I got with sirloin bites...along with your veggies. Here's the tipper...

A fried egg. And, we've talked about eggs.

(Damn. Just dawned on me. You got the grits. Not the rice. Back to regular scheduled programming.)

You and I have talked briefly about color and presentation. This is a texture thing. I know... here comes @PurlJam because he has experience with things in his mouth.

The way it blends...

Look up Bibimbap.
