šŸˆ Interesting thing on ESPN

It is not the first time Bama has had defensve players in the Heisman voting.

Lee Roy Jordan finished 4th in voting in 1962, Cornelius Bennet 7th in 1986, Derrick Thomas 10th in 1988, and Eric Curry 10th in 1992.

I wouldnt mind seeing BAMA get a Heisman award. It would be a cool addition to the trophy case. And I believe a player can get it even with the team attitude.

I expect McCoy to win it if Texas has another good year and he puts up those numbers....crazy stats... 76% comp over 3,000 yards passing, 550 plus rushing...:dazed:

Would love to see a Bama player win it.

It would be nice to have a winner, but it seems to me that the schools have to do a lot of work to promote that. As far as I know, we were never in the business to single out one person on the team for an award. We have always strived for the team award which is a national championship. I think we could use a few more of those! [In no way does this mean any person should not be rewarded for their efforts.]:hyper:

Colt he should have won it last year....Heisman award is stupid in my opinion, how many of them in the last 20 years have made it big in the NFL...not many. personally, i could care less about a bama player winning Heisman.

seems like the pose is almost done

Great observation and so true. From the Bear Bryant days til now, TEAM , TEAM, TEAM !!!!!

And as far as julio and the Heisman. I just dont see it happening at Alabama. Alabama's style ( establish the run ), ground and pound does not allow for the big numbers to tally up for Julio.

I may get flamed for this because he has not even taken a hand off yet. But I see Big numbers and BIG runs in the future for Trent. Could he be the first for Alabama.
