šŸˆ Interesting from Tony Barnerhart:

Jan. 2, 2009: For college football fans, that date just got a lot better. The Liberty Bowl announced this week that it will celebrate its 50th anniversary by playing on Jan. 2. It will be the first time that the Memphis Bowl, which features an SEC team, has ever been played in January. That sets up a pretty good Jan. 2 as the Cotton Bowl will move to that date and kick off at 2 p.m. The Liberty bowl will be at 5 p.m. while the Sugar Bowl will be at 8:20 p.m.

I am kind of surprised that there were no comments about this. The Cotton Bowl moves to a MUCH better time slot and they usually take #2 or #3 out of the West most years. I hated that 1030/11am kickoff! Three SEC games in different time slots will make Jan 2nd a very fun day for TV.
