🏈 Interesting Buyouts For 10 College Football Coaches

There's a new apparel advertising campaign in the works that will cover Glen at UNC with the Jordan brand and their entrance into cleats. "Perfect fit" industry experts say.
If I was SchuMAN, I wouldn't touch that job now. Especially walking in after what Billy B left behind, that's a full rebuild he would have to try and construct. Wait it out for a better opportunity in my opinion.

The shoe deal and the play on his name in the NIL era? At UNC, and Jordan?

How could you have missed this breaking news?

Did someone from Bama gauge his interest at all? Formal interview is likely a formality at that level I would assume. So the real question was he approached and did not show interest? I honestly have not idea which is why I am asking.

From what I recall, even before Saban retired, Byrne knew it was a likely possibility (based on discussions with Saban at the time). Bryne therefore was doing homework and getting things in order quietly, just in case Saban stepped down. Byrne supposedly spoke with Lanning (and Sexton) briefly in Texas (I think at the national championship game) a week or so before Saban’s retirement. He learned then that Lanning wasn’t hireable at the time… in part due to Lanning not wanting to leave, in part due to his buyout being an issue. But he used the opportunity with Lanning to ask about DeBoer who Lanning had competed against. DeBoer was already a massive target, evidenced by the fact that Sexton and him slow played UW on a contract extension. Anyway, Byrne got good feedback from the talk and it helped solidify his #1 target. Then when Saban made his decision to retire, things moved quick.

Thx for the info. Sounds like Lanning not suprisingly was an option for Byrnes but due to the reasons you gave it was not a path that was reasonable to explore.

Actually, Freeze should think about this move for more than a couple of minutes. It's rebuild, so the pressure will be off him for a little while. He'll get paid a Brinks for a couple of years before his seat gets warm.

Also gets him away from Mr. Yellawood.

With no love lost for Florida I couldn't wish that upon them.
