šŸ§‘ā€šŸ³ In wake of the news of Pizza Hut closing 250+ stores...here's six choices from the buffet. What's on the first plate?

This thread has made me hungry for their buffet... I'll just have to enjoy the memories however... I actually liked the old Godfathers buffet better, but it was more regional. The Pizza Hut in Northport is vacant... just sitting there like some post apocalyptic restaurant in a world inhabited by nothing but roaches and auburn fans. Saw a news blip that CiCi's here in town is having a re-grand opening... but I'll pass on that one. I'll be eating some pizza from TuscNY tonight during the Bama basketball game... that shit is good. Best pizza in town behind Broadway.

Believe it or not, we were poised to get a new Pasquale's in Pell City but they had a falling out with the landlord, had the sign up and everything. They say they're looking for another spot to open, hope they find one.

I haven't been in one of those since the mid to late 80's when there was one in Hoover/Vestavia where Wisteria Drive met Lorna Rd. I think it turned into a Kenny Rogers Roasters, and who knows what else since then...

The place where the Pizza Hut (dine-in) used to be, here, is now a Purple Onion. I like that place, but it's no old-school Pizza Hut.

Pizza huts here all gone.
The one were we hung out in high school (80’s) has been torn down and dialysis center is in its place.
One is a dispensary.

Now I usually get petrellas (local Italian restaurant), fantastic pizza. Every now and then I get a ā€œGreekā€ type of pizza at a local place called founaris brothers. Dynamite too, but different.

Preferred Godfather's as well.

I looked it up the other day just to see if there were any in the area. I know of the old closed down, red-tiled roof building. I didn't know there were two more around me: one just a couple of miles away.

There's no way I would have noticed the locations unless I was looking directly at their signage. It's as bad as the new look Taco Bell's in the area, or the new look McDonalds. If you don't see the signs you don't have a clue they are there.

Guess they don't need the visibility when most order from an app which, I'm assuming, tells you where to go pick it up.

That's likely. It doesn't work with the Taco Bell's in that area.

Twenty or more years ago Mt. Pleasant starting eliminating billboards. I don't believe there is one now. The "beautification" of the neighborhood thing, ya know? I suspect the new McD's and Taco Hell's designs may be a by-product of that movement. (And I'm fully behind these moves as those signs just ruin the views around here.)
